RIIVEH201E - Operate light vehicle
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to operate a light vehicle in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. This unit is widely used in the Mining, Gas, and Construction sector. A light vehicle is a vehicle defined as being under 4.5t. This is designed as a defensive driving course for the industry.
The purpose of this course is to impart the skills and knowledge required to operate a motor vehicle safely.
At the completion of the course the learner will be able to:
This course is generally for persons who operate a light vehicle in the course of their employment. Its is not a four wheel drive course.
Pre-requisites: A current drivers licence for the relevant class of vehicle.
Duration: 1 day course
Start Time: 7.30am
Finish Time: It is envisaged the course will conclude at 4.30 pm This course is competency based so finish time may vary depending on number of participants and their ability to reach competency.
Location: Motor School, 137 Sandgate Road Albion QLD 4010 or a suitable training location as nominated by Motor School.
Dress Code: We recommend students wear comfortable clothing in accordance with their particular work requirement. (long trousers, long sleeved shirt and clean enclosed shoes with a good tread)
What you need to bring:
Brisbane office course has morning tea supplied and can include the use of our late model vehicles. Participants are encouraged to use their own vehicle.

A Statement of Attainment for RIIVEH201E - Operate light vehicle will be issued upon successful completion of all assessments.
